Requirements
- An openoffice installation. We developed this plugin on version 2.0 and no testing was done on previous versions.
- A Java Runtime environment
How to install the OpenOffice.org plugin
The installation of the
OpenOffice.org is not very difficult:
- Download OpenOfficeAddon-x.x.zip and extract it somewhere temporary.
- Open openoffice writer.
- In the menu-bar go to "Tools" -> "Package Manager"
- Select "My Packages" and click add. and select the OPSOOoAddon.zip file.
- Restart OpenOffice.org writer
Configuration
The configuration is split into 4 parts, all accesible via the menu-bar "OPS" -> "Ops Settings"
Server Settings
The server settings window configures the
OpsServer? , httpclient(genrates the reports) and the OpenOfficeTemplate to use.
- OpsProject? url - The full url of the OpsProject? webservices (including http://)
- HttpClient? url - The full url of the htpp client (including http://)
- Username - your OPS username
- Password - your
- OOo Template - The OpenOffice? .org template in which the reports and contact information is inserted. Click the button next to the textfield to select a template, a file selector dialog will pop up.
Style Settings
The styles used here define what the generated/manual invoice tables will look like.
- Remote templates - Here you can specify a list of template names used by the "Generate Invoice" window to pass to the httpclient. To add a template simply fill in the name and click "Add". To remove one seleect it and click "remove. Ask your system administrator for a list of available templates.
- Local Templates - Here you can specify a list of local templates used by the "Manual invoice" window. To add a template click the "Add" button and a file selector dialog will pop up. To remove a template from the list select it and click "Remove".
Default Values
The default values are ued in the invoice wiondows. They can be altered at thta point, but supplying good defults saves a lot of repetition.
- Cost per Hour - used in the Generate Invoice window.
- Default taxrate - used in both windows.
Salutation Settings
The three fields are used in the salutation field depending on the gender of the contactperson one of these fields is inserted followed by the lastname of the contact.
