OpsEmailThunderbirdPatch

Functional specifications

To use some of the functionality that the OpsEmail plugin for thundirbird provides a modified version of thunderbird is still needed. The patch was already submitted in a bug report, see PatchingThunderbirdCore for more info

Technical interpretation

There are two seperate bugs reported in buzilla, one bug concerning the onStopSending return value. and one bug concerning the adding and removing of listeners to XPCOM objects. The first one requires some patches and the second one is a more general bug report
To make sure the patches is finally incorperated in the mozilla trunk we need to:
  • update the patches to the current cvs trunk.
  • make sure all comments in this comment are worked in.
  • reestablish contact with the developers

In the meanwhile we still wan't to use a newer (stable) version of thunderbird in-house, so while we're at it we need to make a new build (linux only)
